Last week Technological University Dublin’s Grangegorman campus hosted the annual Jones Engineering Awards, an evening recognising outstanding students from the School of Engineering & the Built Environment and the Conservatoire for their innovation, dedication, and promise for the future.
The ceremony highlighted student projects and achievements across technical and creative disciplines, with awards presented for academic excellence, practical innovation, and contributions to industry‑facing work. Organisers emphasised the event’s role in showcasing emerging talent and strengthening links between higher education and the professions.
Since 2018 the university’s partnership with Jones Engineering has supported students beyond recognition, creating pathways to industry connections and career opportunities. The collaboration has helped translate academic success into real‑world placements, mentorships, and employment prospects for graduates.
University representatives described the awards as a key moment in the academic calendar that both celebrates student achievement and reinforces TU Dublin’s commitment to industry engagement and workforce readiness.
