The Irish Construction Industry Awards 2025 were presented at the Gala Ceremony on 10th October 2025 at the Convention Centre Dublin (CCD). In a ceremony celebrating project excellence, safety, and innovation, Duggan Brothers and Shareridge emerged as the night's biggest winners, each claiming one of the top accolades.
Duggan Brothers secured the highly coveted Contractor Project of the Year award for their sensitive and impactful work on the Dublin Simon Community Medical Residential Treatment Facility. The project, which also won Contractor Health Project of the Year, was praised for its focus on quality and social value, providing a vital healthcare resource for a vulnerable community.
The title of Contractor of the Year was awarded to Shareridge, recognising the company's consistent excellence, strong project delivery across its portfolio, and significant growth. The firm also triumphed in the Civil Construction Project of the Year category for the Windmill Hill Reservoir, underscoring its expertise in complex infrastructure.
A Showcase of Sector-Wide Excellence
The awards highlighted strength and innovation across all disciplines. The Architecture Practice of the Year award went to Reddy A+U, while Strata was named Engineering Firm of the Year. In the sub-contracting sphere, O'Carroll Engineering won Sub-Contractor of the Year and Titan Roofing Limited took home the award for the small sub-contractor category.
The consultancy categories were fiercely competitive, with Mitchell McDermott winning Consultancy of the Year and Mulcahy McDonagh & Partners Ltd recognised as the top small consultancy. Mitchell McDermott also secured the Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Strategy of the Year award, highlighting a dual commitment to business excellence and progressive workplace culture.
Project Highlights: From Landmark Infrastructure to Community Hubs
The project categories told a story of a diverse and thriving industry. Major infrastructure was celebrated, with Arcadis winning Civil Construction Project of the Year for the transformative Belfast Grand Central Station, and Ayesa taking Engineering Project of the Year for the critical Arklow Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Commercial development was represented by Kilcawley Construction's win for the Kilsaran Headquarters Redevelopment, while community-focused projects like Vision Contracting's Meakstown Community Centre (Tourism & Hospitality) and the Walls McKeon Joint Venture's Polaris Building at DCU (Education) demonstrated the sector's role in social and academic infrastructure.
Innovation and Sustainability Take Centre Stage
A strong theme of the evening was the industry's push towards a more modern and sustainable future. Harcourt Technologies Ltd won the MMC Project of the Year for their groundbreaking Grange Close 3D-printed social housing development, a project that also featured in the Innovation category.
John Sisk & Son was recognised for its Everyday Integration of Advanced BIM Tools, winning the BIM Initiative of the Year. In the sustainability arena, Flynn Management & Contractors won Green Project of the Year for the LinkedIn 4WP fit-out, and BAM was awarded the overall Excellence in Sustainability honour.
Celebrating People and Safety
The human element of construction was also in the spotlight. Pat O'Neill of Duggan Brothers was named Construction Project Manager of the Year, and Penny Linton of TODD Architects received the Women in Construction Award. Jones Engineering Group was applauded for its Apprenticeship Programme, ensuring the future pipeline of talent.
In the critical area of safety, Arcadis Ireland Limited won Excellence in Health & Safety, while Glenveagh Properties plc took the Contractor-specific health and safety award.
