OHL´s presence in Ireland started 10 years ago, being the preferred bidder appointment for the PPP Metro North Dublin a project estimated over 1,000m Euros. However, the Authority decided to cancel the project due to the recession affecting the construction industry in 2008.
With the current improvement of the economy, Ireland has become a strategic country for OHL to become a “home market”. The company has a permanent management team in the country and is currently participating on several tender processes including heavy civil and building projects from healthcare, institutional, educational and residential, and is expected to receive imminent confirmation of appointments to contribute with the local growth.
