The Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science is hosting the fourth annual Construction Sector Skills Forum (CSSF) in November.
The forum will take place on Tuesday 24th November from 9.30am to 1.30pm in The Spencer Hotel, Dublin 1, DO1X4C9.
The purpose of the Construction Sector Skills Forum (CSSF) is to stimulate discussion and facilitate networking and collaboration, as well as to inform strategic developments for construction skills provision.
This year’s CSSF is part of the European Skills & VET Week 2026, an initiative from the European Commission and Cedefop. The forum will have a particular emphasis on international collaboration, shared skills challenges, workforce development and the future of construction skills across Europe. The event will feature international experts along with industry leaders, tertiary educators, State agencies, Government departments and Ministerial representation.
The programme will open with a keynote address from Dr Ilias Livanos of Cedefop, examining construction skills trends, challenges and opportunities across Europe to 2035. This will be followed by a panel discussion on delivering housing, infrastructure and the green transition in a skills-constrained environment, bringing together perspectives from Ireland, Northern Ireland, the UK and Europe.
The forum agenda will be published shortly.
